Growing your own during the summer and freezing extra for winter for one. As far as shopping, I find shopping around and knowing what to buy where when you are in the area. Farmer’s markets are great. Trader Joe’s is cheap. Sometimes Stop and Shop is depending on what’s on sale… co ops too…
